Job Description Job Description Position Purpose: To provide clinical, medical, and recovery support services for clients in a residential treatment setting Principal Responsibilities: Act as a role model to individuals seeking or maintaining recovery, offering hope and demonstrating that long-term recovery is possible and engage clients in a way that models recovery principles in action. Maintain an environment of welcome and acceptance, placing emphasis on help and hope, that is true to the recovery-center model. Meet and support clients as applicable - walking side-by-side with them to ensure they are not alone. This includes scheduled or non-scheduled interactions. Leverage personal strengths and interests, develop and deliver unique recovery skills, life skills, and/or expressive art experiences. Provide one-on-one and group coaching support sessions with clients, families, and others as identified that offer peer connection, skill-building, and accountability in recovery. Assist clients in understanding and exploring the 12-steps as a program of recovery, transporting clients to 12-step meetings, providing encouragement and guidance regarding principles of recovery. Work collaboratively with all members of the team to help clients move forward in their recovery through an integrated approach. Ensure all essential Residential facility functions are maintained in the absence of other team members including, but not limited to, coordination of client placement, client meals, ensuring safe, clean environment, phone coverage, essential data entry and basic housekeeping/laundry. Document all client encounters and interactions in client record and maintain proper client files. Documentation should be in compliance with established timeframes, accreditation, licensing, and funding requirements. Document all collaboration, consultation, referrals, and observations utilizing clinically and medically sound best practices in documentation and terminology. Transport clients (only if staff has appropriate licensure) to off-site recovery enhancement activities and engage clients in a way that models recovery principles in action. Monitor client self-administration of medication and document using agency-identified protocol. Experience and Skills: High school diploma/GED required. Life/work experience given strong consideration. 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred. Completion of CCAR training within first 6 months of employment, if not already secured. CDL obtained within 6 months, if applicable Personal recovery experience required. Minimum of 2 years of active, continuous recovery from substance use, 3 years preferred. If a former client of Ten16 and applying to the same Ten16 program they attended, must have 2 years from the last date of service to be considered for a position.
