Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1 years
School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A social worker
position is available to support K-12 students within a public
school setting in Monroe, MI. This contract role extends through
the current school year, beginning ASAP and continuing until May
22, 2026. The position requires onsite presence from 8:00 AM to
4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. This
role primarily serves the northern portion of the co-op, with
further details to be discussed during the interview. Key
Responsibilities: - Provide individual and group social work
support to students in classroom, school, or community settings -
Collaborate with principals, psychologists, teachers, and ancillary
staff as part of student intervention teams - Consult with parents,
school personnel, and community agencies to support student success
- Conduct in-service training sessions for school staff and parent
education programs - Participate as a member of the Individualized
Educational Planning (IEP) team - Address and support students'
social-emotional and mental health needs - Apply Crisis Prevention
Intervention (CPI) techniques as needed - Maintain regular,
predictable attendance and adhere to school work policies -
Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues Desired
Qualifications: - Current Michigan Social Work license or valid MI
310 certification - Experience working within schools or with K-12
student populations - Strong interpersonal, communication, and team
collaboration skills - Ability to manage crisis situations and
apply appropriate interventions - Demonstrated commitment to
supporting student mental health and well-being This role offers an
